About

We are clinical psychologists with specialized training in brain-behavior relationships. We are life-long learners who are dedicated to ongoing training in our field and regularly review the latest literature. We work hard to translate that information to you in an easily digestible and accessible fashion. The neuroscience of cognition and emotion helps us to identify the right diagnosis or diagnoses for your child. However, this is only one part of the puzzle. We also aim to give you concrete tools to improve your relationship with your child and to help you parent them in a way that meets both of your needs.

All brains are different and process the world in different ways. At our practice, we celebrate neurodiversity and aim to empower your child to be the happiest and healthiest version of themselves. We are here to tell you that there is no such thing as a “bad” kid. There are kids who are stressed and those who lack the skills to do what you’re asking them to do … or both! All behavior is a form of communication. Let’s work together to figure out what your child is trying to tell you and what they need.

Our Goals

Our training in the neuroscience of cognition and emotion helps us to identify the right diagnosis or diagnoses for your child. However, this is only one part of the puzzle. We also aim to give you concrete tools to improve your relationship with your child and to help you parent them in a way that meets both of your needs.

Our Approach

We are clinical psychologists with specialized training in brain-behavior relationships. Parents like you come to see us when they have questions about their child’s development. In order to understand why your child thinks or acts the way they do, we conduct in-depth testing. This testing gives us clarity on their challenges, skills, and abilities so that we can design a road map for treatment.

Our Commitment

Getting an accurate diagnosis is crucial. We are life-long learners who are dedicated to ongoing training in our field and regularly review the latest literature. We work hard to translate that information to you in an easily digestible and accessible fashion.

Hi, I’m Dr. Erin.

I’m a pediatric neuropsychologist!

I work with kids, teens, and young adults ages 0 – 25. I also do autism testing for adults. I specialize in complex differential diagnostics. This means I often work with children who have been previously evaluated, have many diagnoses, and a complex medical and psychiatric history.

When there is “a lot going on” for your child, it can be difficult to understand the interplay between their medical, emotional, and physical challenges. I enjoy giving parents clarity on how their child’s diagnoses interact with one another to contribute to how they are feeling and behaving. This helps us to design a treatment plan that provides clear direction on what is most important to focus on right now.

Education

  • Fellowship in Neuropsychology, Wasatch Pediatric Neuropsychology, SLC, UT, 2016
  • Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Brigham Young University, Provo, UT, 2014

Hi, I’m Dr. Tessa.

I’m a clinical child psychologist!

I work with kids, teens, and young adults ages 0 – 25. I also do autism testing for adults. I specialize in developmental testing for ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, mood or psychiatric challenges, and cases of co-morbidity.

I enjoy helping parents understand their child’s unique personality, emotional landscape, and strengths and weaknesses in thinking skills. Parents tell me that this clarity allows them to feel empowered in making parenting choices and to know what steps to take to help their child succeed. My ultimate goal is to help children get on a better trajectory that will lead to improved outcomes for them in the short and long-term.
