Adult Psychological Testing

Both Dr. Krauskopf and Dr. Salisbury provide this type of service.

A psychological assessment involves comprehensive cognitive, emotional, and personality testing designed to identify how you perceive yourself, others, and the world. Our experiences are shaped by the combination of “who we are” and “what happened to us.” Therefore, we will discuss how your early childhood experiences and temperament shaped your sense of self and interpersonal style. The goal of this assessment is to give you the proper framework for yourself so that you feel empowered to make the changes you would like to see in your life.

You are a great fit for this service if you have questions about any of the following.
– Anxiety
– Depression
– Obsessive Compulisive Disorder
– Mood Disorders (Bipolar, Psychosis)
– Eating Disorders
– Trauma and PTSD
– Somatic Disorders and Emerging Personality Disorders
– Oppositional Defiant and Conduct Disorders

This service includes 3 appointments:

Intake

During the intake session, the focus is on gathering information about your history and early childhood development. We will discuss your concerns, assessment goals, and the change you are hoping to see as a result of this process.

Testing

During the testing session we will conduct paper-and-pencil, interview, and computerized testing with you. All testing is standardized, which allows us to determine what your strengths and challenges are and which diagnosis best fits.

Feedback

During the feedback session we will review the results of your testing and clearly outline your diagnostic picture. We will talk in-depth about each diagnosis (if there are multiple) so that you feel confident in understanding what it means and what to do about it.
